Still, I'm always disappointed when I test a smartphone that doesn't support it. It's not exactly wireless-a cord runs from an outlet to the charging pad-and it won't charge your smartphone faster than plugging it in with a good ol’ cord. All other trademarks or servicemarks appearing on this site are the marks of their respective owners.Wireless charging isn't nearly as cool as it sounds. We would like to thank the following companies and individuals whose contributions of Nimble boat information have helped to make this Web site possible: Ken McCleave and the Nimble Boat Works, Good Old Boat Magazine, Cruising World Magazine, Mark Nye, Nancy Everds, and the Nimble owners who have submitted their photos and who have added their boat to the registry. There are two older forums that still exist but do not appear active: the Nimble Boat Forum at and the Nimble Boat Forum at. That forum is primarily devoted to the smaller Nimble models. You can visit the Nimble Boat Forum at, where you can post messages for other Nimble owners, or share your experiences aboard your boat. Today, the Nimble Boat Works produces three boats: the Nimble Nomad, Wanderer, and Kodiak. A consortium of investors led by Ken McCleave, however, rescued the company and have continued Jerry’s legacy. The Nimble Boat Works briefly ceased operations when Jerry passed away in 2003. ![]() The only new Ted Brewer design in the Nimble fleet was the Wanderer, which was designed as a roomy, but economical, motor boat or a 50/50 motor sailer. The Arctic was modified with a larger pilot house to become the Kodiak. The Nimble 20 was shortened to build the Vagabond motor boat. Ted’s Nimble 20 design was lengthened to create the Nimble 24, which later became the Arctic motorsailer, and was then modified to become the Nomad motor boat. All of Nimble’s boats were built to order and no two boats are identical. Jerry worked with Ted Brewer on the design of the Nimble 20, which became the basis for all of the later boats. The Nimble Boat Works was founded in 1985 by Jerry Koch. Please consider listing your boat on the Nimble Owner’s Registry (the entries there may be out of date). If you discover an error, please send mail to the Nimble Boat Owner’s Web Site. Every effort has been made to provide accurate information about every boat, however, mistakes happen. More information and history will be added as it is uncovered. This Web site covers all boats built by the Nimble Boat Works, including out-of-production models, and is independent of the Nimble Boat Works. This Web site is a work in progress that is intended to serve as a central meeting place and community for all Nimble boat owners. Here is a modified version of the welcome page created by Michael McConnell I expect that there this site contains some outdated information and I will do my best to update the site as time allows. In the spring of 2012 I became the owner of a Nimble 30 yawl and subsequently contacted Michael, who graciously sent me the source files for that site. ![]() When he sold that boat he chose not to continue with the site. Michael is a former owner of Yin Yang, a Nimble 30 sloop. Most of the content of this site was previously posted at, a site created by Michael McConnell. ![]() Welcome to the Nimble Boat Owner’s Web Site, the place for past, present, and potential Nimble boat owners to share news, ideas, and advice. I am selling my Nimble 30 and no longer plan to maintain or view this site. Years ago I bought a Nimble 30 and started this site. ![]()
